Description

Alarm message:

Sensor access degraded or unavailable, Sensor is MOS Volt Drop.

or

Failed to obtain the MOS FET voltage drop of the soft-start circuit.

This alarm is generated when the system failed to obtain the voltage of the detection point of the mainboard.

This alarm is generated by the following sensors:

Impact on the System

The voltage cannot be monitored. No alarm will be reported when the voltage is not in the normal range.

Possible Causes

  • The BMC is abnormal.
  • The mainboard is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Restart the BMC of the switch module. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 2.

    You can restart the BMC using either of the following method:

    On the HMM CLI, run the telnet 0 1101 command, switch to the BMC CLI, and run the ipmcset -d reset command.

  2. Back up the services of the switch module.
  3. Reseat the switch module and then check whether the alarm is cleared..

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 4.

  4. Replace the switch module. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 5.

  5. On the HMM WebUI, choose System Management > Information Collection, and collect logs.
  6. Contact Huawei technical support.
