Alarm message:

Firmware or software incompatibility detected 

The alarm is generated when the MM910 firmware version is incompatible with the MM910 firmware version of the peer board.

This alarm is generated by the following sensor:

Impact on the System

  • The MM910 cannot perform an active/standby switchover.
  • The active and standby MM910s cannot back up the data correctly.

Possible Causes

The active and standby MM910s firmware version is incompatible.


  1. If the MM910 is upgrading, check whether the alarm is cleared after the MM910 is upgraded.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 2.

  2. Check whether the active and standby HMM versions are the same.

    • If yes, go to 4.
    • If no, go to 3.

  3. Upgrade the MM910 firmware version, ensure that the active and standby MM910 firmware version are the same, and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    For details, see the upgrade guide.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 4.

  4. On the HMM WebUI, choose System Management > Information Collection, and collect logs.
  5. Contact Huawei technical support.
