This alarm is generated when the active MM910 detects that the standby MM910 is unhealthy.

Impact on the System

The device management software may operate abnormally after an active/standby switchover.

Possible Causes

  • The hardware is faulty.
  • The device management software is abnormal.

Procedure

  1. Find out the static IP address of the standby MM910 by referring to the network plan.
  2. Check whether you can log in to the CLI of the standby MM910.

    • If yes, go to 3.
    • If no, go to 6.

  3. Run the ifconfig command and record the IP addresses and subnet masks of eth1 and eth2 of the standby MM910.
  4. Use the same method to record the IP addresses and subnet masks of eth1 and eth2 of the active MM910. Check whether the IP addresses of eth1 and eth2 of the two MM910 modules are on the same network segment.

    • If yes, go to 6.
    • If no, go to 5.

  5. On the CLI of the standby MM910, run the reboot command. After the restart is complete, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 6.

  6. Connect to the standby MM910 through the serial port, collect serial port logs for ten minutes, and contact technical support.
  7. Contact Huawei technical support.
