1. The fiber channel (FC) optical module cannot be detected or is not properly installed. 2. The optical fiber of the link is not securely inserted. 3. The FC optical module is faulty. 4. The peer link is faulty.

Possible Causes

  • The FC optical module cannot be detected or is not properly installed.
  • The optical fiber is not securely inserted.
  • The FC optical module is faulty.
  • The peer link is faulty.


  1. Check whether the local and peer optical fibers and FC optical modules are intact and installed correctly.

  1. Remove and reinstall or replace the optical fibers and FC optical modules. Then check whether the link indicators of the FC optical modules are on.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, contact Huawei technical support for help or submit a fault report at


This alarm is cleared when the system detects that the FC link is operating properly.

After the fault is rectified, the system automatically clears the alarm.
