(Optional) Configuring the Queue Buffer on an Interface
Context
The buffer size affects queue shaping performance. You need to configure the buffer size of a specified queue on an interface.![]()
Before modifying the queue length on an interface, run the shutdown command to shut down the interface, and then run the undo shutdown command to enable the interface; otherwise, the configuration does not take effect.
Procedure
- Run:
system-viewThe system view is displayed.
- Run:
interface interface-type interface-number
The interface view is displayed.
- Run:
shutdownThe interface is shut down.
- Run:
qos queue queue-index max-length packet-number
The buffer size of the queue on the interface is set.
Only the S2700-52P-EI, S2700-52P-PWR-EI, S2710SI, S3700SI, and S3700EI support this command.
- Run:
undo shutdownThe interface is restarted.
