Installing a USB Flash Card

Installing a USB Flash Card

You need to install a new USB Flash card to replace the original one.


Install a USB Flash card in any of the following scenarios:

  • A faulty USB Flash card needs to be replaced.
  • A USB Flash card of a newer model needs to be used.

Figure 5-64 shows the USB flash card installation position on the CH222.

Data preparation is not required for this operation.


  • Electrostatic discharge (ESD) gloves.
  • M3 phillips screwdriver.
  • Packing materials, for example, ESD bag.


  1. (Optional) Remove the PCIe card tray. For details, see Removing a PCIe Card.
  2. Take the new USB Flash card out of its ESD bag.
  3. Insert the USB Flash card vertically downwards onto the connector on the mainboard. See step (1) in Figure 5-65.

  4. Use the Phillips screwdriver to tighten the screws to secure USB Flash card. See step (2) in Figure 5-65.
