Configuring the iMana 200 IP Address

Configuring the iMana 200 IP Address

This topic describes how to configure integrated management module (iMana 200) IP address of the CH222.

Log in to the CH222 over a serial port and configure the CH222 iMana 200 IP address.

The compute node iMana 200 IP address cannot be on the network segment for the chassis management plane.

The network segment for the chassis management plane is used for functions such as HMM and iMana 200 heartbeats.

The CH222 iMana 200 IP address and subnet mask must be available.

  1. Configure the iMana 200 IP address of the compute node.

To avoid conflicts with the network segment for the chassis management plane (172.31), the compute node iMana 200 IP address cannot be on the 172.31 network segment. If you need to set it to be on the 172.31 network segment, change the network segment for the chassis management plane first. For details, see section "Querying and Setting a Network Segment for the Management Plane of a Chassis (subnet)" in the MM910 Management Module V100R001 Command Reference.

    Run the following command:

ipmcset -t network port number -d ipaddr -v iMana IP address subnet mask

The network port number of iMana 200 is eth0, if iMana 200 IP address is, and the subnet mask is, run the following command:

    ipmcset -t eth0 -d ipaddr -v

The iMana 200 IP address is successfully configured if the following information is displayed:

    Set IP address successfully .
    Set MASK address successfully .

  2. Run the following command to view the configured iMana 200 IP address:

    ipmcget -t eth0 -d ipinfo

    The following information is displayed:

    Enabled : Enable
    Mode : static
    Inet addr :
    Subnet Mask :
    Default Gateway :
    HWaddr : 00:18:82:59:23:03
