CPU

A high-performance processor that processes protocol packets and manages configurations.

Converged switch module

A functional module of the CX311, which is used to forward a huge number of service packets.

Heat sink

Cools a CPU. Each CPU is configured with one heat sink.

MX510 mezzanine switch module

Exchanges storage service data and provides external ports for the storage switching plane. It corresponds to the internal FCoE gateway.

Midplane signal connector

Exchanges data between the CX311 and nodes in the front slots.

Midplane power connector

Supplies 12 V DC power for the CX311.
