Checking the FCoE Gateway


  1. Log in to the FCoE gateway CLI.
  2. Run the following command on the FCoE gateway CLI to check the current version of the FCoE gateway:

    FCoE_GW: admin> show version

    The command output is as follows:

    • Eth1IPv4NetworkAddr: specifies the IP address of the management network port.
    • ActiveSWVersion: specifies the software version.
    • SwitchMode: specifies the work mode.

  3. Check whether the software version is consistent with the planned one.

    • If yes, go to 4.
    • If no, contact Huawei technical support.

  4. Query the alarms of the FCoE gateway.

    FCoE_GW: admin> show alarm

    If the following information is displayed, no alarm is generated.

     Current Faults:  None     

  5. Check whether an alarm is generated.

    • If yes, go to 6.
    • If no, no further action is required.
