Port Bonding
Figure 5-31 shows the networking topology of the MZ510 working with the CX910.
In Figure 5-31 the CH121 (1) is installed in slot Blade1 in E9000 chassis (1), and CH121 (2) is in slot Blade2. The MZ510 is installed in slot Mezz1 on the CH121, and the two physical ports connect to two CX910s respectively. The CX910 (1) is installed in slot 2X in E9000 chassis (1), and the CX910 (2) is in slot 3X. Install the MZ510s, CH121s, and CX910s in the same slots in E9000 chassis (2). The external port (uplink port) of the CX910 (1) is connected to the external port of the CX910 (3) using an optical cable. The external port (uplink port) of the CX910 (2) is connected to the external port of the CX910 (4) using an optical cable. The CH121s run Windows Server 2008.
Port0 and Port1 of the MZ510 are configured with bonding in the NIC Teaming management tool. The following sections describe how to configure and apply four bonding modes: active-backup, balancing, 802.3ad, and LACP.
