Application on a MAN

The S9300&S9300E are deployed at the access layer and aggregation layer of a MAN. Figure 3-1 shows a representative networking diagram.

Acting as the UPE device on a MAN, the S9300&S9300E converge Internet, VPN, IPTV, and VoIP services from downstream devices such as Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (DSLAM) and LAN switches such as S2300 and S3300.

The S9300&S9300E also connect to the upstream NPE devices, such as the Huawei ME60 and NE40E. Additionally, the S9300&S9300E can act as a PE-AGG in complex networks to implement multiple levels of aggregation.
