Logging In to the CX910 BIOS

Logging In to the CX910 BIOS

This topic describes how to log in to the CX910 BIOS. In BIOS, you can debug the CX910.

Log in to the CX910 BIOS through the CX910 serial port.

The BIOS can be accessed only from the CLI of the switching plane after you log in to the CLI over a serial port.

The BIOS initializes hardware, such as serial ports or dual in-line memory modules (DIMMs), reads the kernel image from the flash memory to the random access memory (RAM), and starts the operating system (OS). In the BIOS, you can load underlying software and debug underlying devices.

You have logged in to the 10GE switching plane CLI over a serial port.
