Logical Architecture

This topic describes the CX912 logical architecture.

The CX912 logical architecture contains four modules: CPU, 10GE switch module, MX210 mezzanine switch module, and baseboard management controller (BMC) device management module.

The CPU system module is the controlling core for the CX912. It processes network protocol packets and manages user configurations.

The 10GE switch module forwards large-capacity service packets. The MX210 mezzanine switch module exchanges data between compute nodes, storage nodes, and the storage services on management modules and provides external ports for the storage switching plane. The BMC device management module manages and monitors all switch module hardware in a centralized manner.
