Logical Architecture

This topic describes the CX913 logical architecture.

The CX913 logical architecture contains four modules: CPU, 10GE switch module, fibre channel (FC) pass through module, and baseboard management controller (BMC) device management module.

The CPU system module is the controlling core for the CX913. It processes network protocol packets and manages user configurations.

The 10GE switch module forwards large-capacity service packets. The FC pass through module provides ports for compute nodes, storage nodes, and the host bus adapters (HBAs) on management modules. The BMC device management module manages and monitors all switch module hardware in a centralized manner.
