PCI/PCIE Setting

This topic describes how to configure the Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) subsystem.

On the PCI/PCIE Setting screen, you can configure the PCIe devices of a server. Table 4-5 describes parameters on the screen.Figure 4-5 shows the PCI/PCIE Setting screen.

Default Value

Above 4G Decoding

Controls access to the memory greater than 4 GB. The options are as follows:

  • Enable: indicates that the decoding function of the memory greater than 4 GB is enabled.
  • Disable: indicates that the decoding function of the memory greater than 4 GB is disabled.


SR-IOV Support

Specifies whether to enable PCIe single-root I/O virtualization (SR-IOV). SR-IOV allows management programs to create virtual instances of PCIe devices, improving performance and allocating extra resources to PCIe devices. Even if management programs are not used, you can also enable PCIe SR-IOV. The options are as follows:

  • Enable: SR-IOV is enabled.
  • Disable: If the PCIe card supports SR-IOV, the OS allocates I/O resources. If the PCIe card does not support SR-IOV, SR-IOV is disabled.


Target Link Speed

Target link speed. The options are as follows:

  • Auto
  • Force to 2.5 GT/s
  • Force to 5.0 GT/s
