This topic describes security control parameters on the Security screen.

You can set the administrator password on the Security screen.Figure 5-48 shows the Security screen. Table 5-50 describes the parameters on this screen.

Sets an administrator password.

Deletes the administrator password.

Power On Password

Indicates whether to enable the power-on password function. If this function is enabled, you need to enter the administrator password upon power-on. The options are as follows:

Disable

Secure Boot menu

Indicates the secure boot function. The secure boot function is customizable.

Before enabling the secure boot function, ensure that:

  • An authenticated PK is used for system running.
  • The CSM is disabled.

Indicates a secure boot mode. The options are as follows:

  • Custom
  • Standard
NOTE:

If the custom mode is selected, users can change the image execution policy and manage secure boot keys.

Key Management

Indicates the key management function. Users can change secure boot options.

Image Execution Policy

Indicates an image execution policy under a security rule.

Indicates whether to enable factory default keys. The options are as follows:

Configure factory default keys on this screen.

Enroll all Factory Default keys

Enrolls and configures all factory default keys (PK, KEK, db, dbt, and dbx). After the configuration, restart the system for the settings to take effect.

Save all Secure Boot variables

Saves all secure boot variables. If this item is selected, all files that contain secure boot variables in the NURAM root file directory will be saved to the target file system device.
