Enabling PCIe Advanced Error Reporting

This topic describes how to enable the PCIe Advanced Error Reporting function.

Scenarios

Enable the PCIe Advanced Error Reporting function using basic input/output system (BIOS) programs.

The PCIe Advanced Error Reporting function is a mechanism for reporting peripheral component interconnect express (PCIe) advanced errors. After the function is enabled, PCIe errors are reported. This improves serviceability. This function is enabled by default.

This operation has no adverse impact on the system.

Prerequisites

Conditions

You have accessed BIOS. For details, see 2.1 .

Data

Data preparation is not required for this operation.

Procedure

  1. Choose IntelRCSetup > Runtime Error Logging and press Enter.

    The Runtime Error Logging screen appears, as shown in Figure 3-15.

  2. Select System Errors and press Enter, as shown in Figure 3-15.
  3. Choose Enable from the shortcut menu.
  4. Select PCI/PCIE Error Enabling and press Enter.

    The PCI/PCIE Error Enabling screen appears, as shown in Figure 3-16.

  5. Select PCIe Advanced Error Reporting and press Enter, as shown in Figure 3-16.
  6. Choose Enable from the shortcut menu to enable PCIe Advanced Error Reporting.
  7. Press F10.

    The Save configuration and exit? dialog box appears.

  8. Select Yes to save the setting.
