Miscellaneous Configuration

This topic describes parameters about configuring the configuration items that are not commonly used on the Miscellaneous Configuration screen.

On the Miscellaneous Configuration screen, you can configure the configuration items that are not commonly used, including the debugging mode, serial port debugging information level, and clock spread spectrum.

Table 4-38 describes the parameters on the IvyBridge screen.Figure 4-34 shows the Miscellaneous Configuration screen.

Specifies whether to enable the quick boot mode. If Quick Boot is enabled, the memory test will be skipped during the startup process to shorten the boot time. The options are as follows:

Sequence number (starting from CPU0) of the CPU to which the currently used display adapter is connected.

Indicates whether to enable the control of the hard partition interactive network interface card (NIC) BCM5720. The options are as follows:

BlackBox Control (available only for the RH8100 V3 server)

Indicates whether to enable the black box function. The options are as follows:

Power On Password (For the RH8100 V3 server, this parameter is on the Miscellaneous Configuration screen. For other servers, this parameter is on the Security screen.)

Indicates whether to enable the power-on password. After the power-on password is enabled, you need to enter the supervisor password during startup. The options are as follows:
