QPI Configuration

QPI Configuration

This topic describes how to configure the QuickPath Interconnect (QPI) between processors on the QPI Configuration screen.

On the QPI Configuration screen, you can configure the QPI between processors, such as configuring the link frequency, bus resource allocation ratio, and IO resource allocation ratio. Table 4-17 describes parameters on the screen. Figure 4-18 shows the QPI Configuration screen.

Figure 4-18 QPI Configuration screen

Table 4-17 Parameters on the QPI Configuration screen

Default Value

Current QPI Link Frequency

Current QPI link frequency.

Link Frequency Select

Indicates the link frequency. If the QPI link frequency is set to a low value, the power consumption is reduced. However, the system performance will be affected. Set this parameter only when there are two or more CPUs. The options are as follows:

  • 6.4 GB/s
  • 7.2 GB/s
  • 8.0 GB/s
  • 9.6 GT/s (The Haswell CPU supports a maximum of 9.6 GT/s link frequency, and the IvyBridge CPU 8.0 GT/s link frequency.)
  • Auto

Link L0p Enable

Indicates whether to enable L0p. The options are as follows:

  • Enable
  • Disable

Link L1 Enable

Indicates whether to enable L1. The options are as follows:

  • Enable
  • Disable

Legacy VGA Socket

Indicates the number of legacy VGA sockets. This parameter value ranges from 0 to 7.

GPU Support (available for the RH8100 V3)

Supports the GPUs with less than 4 TB memory mapping space. The options are as follows:

  • Enable: Supports the GPUs with less than 4 TB memory mapping space.
  • Disable: Allocates the PCIe memory mapping space to more than 13 TB.
