Enabling System QPI/IO Viral

Enabling System QPI/IO Viral

This topic describes how to enable the System QPI/IO Viral function.

Enable the System QPI/IO Viral function using basic input/output system (BIOS) programs.

System QPI/IO Viral indicates a QuickPath Interconnect (QPI) virus mode. When a fatal error occurs after the System QPI/IO Viral function is enabled, the data that is sent externally is marked as virus. The function prevents incorrect data from being transmitted to networks or written to permanent memory such as hard disks, helping avoid more serious impact. This function is disabled by default.
