Enabling Live Error Recovery

Enabling Live Error Recovery

This topic describes how to enable the Live Error Recovery function.

Enable the Live Error Recovery function by using the basic input/output system (BIOS).

The Live Error Recovery function is used for rectifying peripheral component interconnect express (PCIe) errors dynamically. For operating systems and device drivers, link disconnection (Surprise link down) means that devices are removed without notification. The Live Error Recovery function requires support from operating systems and device drivers. No operating system for commercial use supports this function. This function enables PCIe devices to have self-repair capabilities. This function is disabled by default.

Impact on the System

This operation has no adverse impact on the system.
