Installing the PSU Backplane

Installing the PSU Backplane

  1. Power off the server. For details, see Powering On and Off the RH5885 V3. Remove all power cables.
  2. Remove all PSUs from the RH5885 V3. For details, see Removing a PSU.
  3. Remove the mainboard from the RH5885 V3. For details, see Removing the Mainboard.
  4. Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves. For details, see Safety Instructions.
  5. Take the spare PSU backplane out of the ESD bag.
  6. Align the holes on the PSU backplane with the two screws shown in Figure 5-110, and move the PSU backplane in the arrow direction as far as it will go. See step (1) in Figure 5-110.

  7. Screw the PSU backplane. See step (2) in Figure 5-110.
  8. Connect all cables to the PSU backplane.
