Removing the Riser Card

Removing the Riser Card

  1. Power off the server. For details, see Powering On and Off the RH5885 V3. Remove all power cables.
  2. Remove the chassis cover of the RH5885 V3. For details, see Removing the Chassis Cover.
  3. Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves. For details, see Safety Instructions.
  4. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the captive screw that secures the riser card. See step (1) in Figure 5-32.

  5. Lift the riser card. See step (2) in Figure 5-32.
  6. Remove the PCIe card from the riser card. For details, see Removing a PCIe Card from the Riser Card.
  7. Place the removed riser card in an ESD bag.
