Installing the iBBU
- Power off the server. For details, see Powering On and Off the RH5885 V3. Remove all power cables.
- Remove the chassis cover of the RH5885 V3. For details, see Removing the Chassis Cover.
- Remove the air duct of the RH5885 V3. For details, see Removing the Air Duct.
- Remove the riser card above the iBBU. For details, see Removing the Riser Card.
- Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves. For details, see Safety Instructions.
- Take the spare iBBU out of the ESD bag.
- Install the iBBU and connect cables. Place the cable connector pin side facing outward. See steps (1) and (2) in Figure 5-57.
If the cable connector side with pins faces inward when the cable is inserted into the iBBU, device damage will occur.
- Enable the iBBU tray to closely touch the chassis, align the chassis notch with the arrow on the iBBU tray, and push the iBBU tray in the arrow direction. See step (1) in Figure 5-58.
