Removing a Fan Module

  1. Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves. For details, see Safety Instructions.
  2. Check whether the RH5885 V3 is equipped with a front bezel?

  3. Remove the front bezel of the RH5885 V3. For details, see (Optional) Removing the Front Bezel.
  4. Push the release button that fastens the fan module handle. See step (1) in Figure 5-30.

  5. Open the handle for the fan module. See step (2) in Figure 5-30.
  6. Hold the handle to pull out the fan module horizontally from the chassis. See step (3) in Figure 5-30.
  7. An ESD bag holds only one fan module.

    Place the removed fan module into an ESD bag.
