Installing a DC PSU

Table 5-5 describes the configuration scheme for 800 W DC PSUs (input voltage of –48 V DC to –60 V DC and output power of 800 W).

Procedure

  1. Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves. For details, see Safety Instructions.
  2. Take the spare DC PSU out of the ESD bag.
  3. Insert the spare DC PSU into slot 1 (slot 1 is used as an example). Push the PSU into the chassis along the guide rails until you hear a sound. The PSU release button snaps into the latch so that the PSU does not move. See Figure 5-26.

  4. Insert the cord end terminals of power cables into the connector on the PSU. See Figure 5-27.
