Installing the Right Mounting Ear

  1. Power off the server. For details, see Powering On and Off the RH5885 V3. Remove all power cables.
  2. Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves. For details, see Safety Instructions.
  3. Take the spare indicator board out of the ESD bag.
  4. Install the light pipe.

    1. Place the light pipe on the right mounting ear, and align it with the jack. See step (1) in Figure 5-105.

    2. Insert the hollow plastic cylinder in the arrow direction. See step (2) in Figure 5-106.

    3. Insert the solid plastic cylinder in the arrow direction. See step (3) in Figure 5-107.

  5. Connect the indicator board cable. See step (1) in Figure 5-108.

  6. Place the indicator board in to the right mounting ear. See step (2) in Figure 5-108.
  7. Install the right mounting ear on to the chassis and fasten the latch. See step (3) in Figure 5-108.
  8. To install a front bezel, see the operation procedure in (Optional) Installing the Front Bezel.
