Checking the RH5885 V3


Log in to the iBMC CLI and check the health status of the RH5885 V3. Ensure that its health status meets the environment requirements for software installation.



RH5885 V3 is powered on.


  • User name and password for logging in RH5885 V3 to the iBMC WebUI.
  • IP address of the iBMC management network port on the RH5885 V3.


Check the RH5885 V3 in the sequence shown in Figure 7-13. Determine the checking method based on site requirements.

  1. Observe RH5885 V3 indicator status, and check that the device hardware is properly operating.

    For indicator status of an RH5885 V3 with E7 v3 CPUs and DDR4 DIMMs, see Indicators and Buttons.

    For indicator status of an RH5885 V3 with E7 v4 CPUs and DDR4 DIMMs, see Indicators and Buttons.

  2. Check the RH5885 V3 using the iBMC WebUI.

    1. Connect the PC to the RH5885 V3 iBMC management network port by using a network cable.
    2. Run Internet Explorer on the PC, enter the IP address of the iBMC management network port, user name, and password to log in.

  3. Check the RH5885 V3 basic information on the WebUI.

    1. Choose Information on the menu bar, choose Information Summary in the navigation tree.
    2. Query RH5885 V3 version information, see (1) in the Figure 7-14.

      Check that the RH5885 V3 version information meets site requirements.

    3. Query the health status of the RH5885 V3, see (2) in the Figure 7-14.
    4. Clear alarms if any. For details, see the Huawei Rack Server iBMC Alarm Handling.
