Installing a SATA HDD, SAS HDD, or SSD

You do not need to power off the RH5885 V3 before installing a hard disk.


  1. Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves. For details, see Safety Instructions.
  2. Take the spare hard disk out of the ESD bag.
  3. Fully open the ejector lever and push the hard disk into the chassis along the guide rails until it does not move. See step (1) in Figure 5-8.

  4. Ensure that the ejector lever is fastened to the beam, and lower the ejector lever to completely insert the hard disk into the chassis. See step (2) in Figure 5-8.
