This document describes the appearance, specifications, parameters, and structure of the RH5885 V3, and how to install an OS, replace parts, and install, remove, configure, and troubleshoot the server.

Powering On


Power on the server after it is installed properly or maintained.



The server and internal components are properly installed.


  • You have determined the cabinet number and installation position for the device to be powered on.
  • You have obtained the IP address, user name, and user password for the management network port on the iMana 200.


ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves: used to prevent ESD damage


For details about how to obtain the IP address for the management network port and how to operate the iMana 200, see the Huawei Server iMana 200 User Guide.


The power supply units (PSUs) are properly installed but not powered on.

Connect the external power supply to the PSUs. Then the server will be powered on along with the PSUs.

The PSUs are powered on, and the server is in the standby state.

  • Press and hold down the power button on the front panel until the server is powered on.
  • Remotely power on the server using the iMana 200 WebUI.

    Log in to the iMana 200 WebUI, choose PS Management > Power Control, and click Power On and then OK.

  • Remotely power on the server using the iMana 200 CLI.

    Run the ipmcset -d powerstate -v 1 command on the iMana 200 CLI.


Check the indicator status after the server is powered on.
