Querying and Setting the IP Address of the Management Network Port

To check the IP address of the management network port, choose one of the following methods:

  • Default IP address
  • Querying and setting the IP address of the management network port on the basic input/output system (BIOS)
NOTE:
  • Querying and setting the management IP address using the iMana 200 or iBMC WebUI.

Table 9-1 lists the default IP address of the iMana 200 or iBMC management network port.

Querying and Setting the IP Address on the BIOS

  • Set the IP address on the Ivy Bridge BIOS (for an RH5885 V3 with E7 v2 CPUs and DDR3 DIMMs).
    1. Restart the server and press Del to access the BIOS Setup Utility screen.

      Enter a password as prompted.

      NOTE:
      • The default BIOS password is Huawei12#$ for the American keyboard, Huqzei&é34 for the French keyboard, and Huawei12£$ for the English keyboard.
      • If an incorrect BIOS password is entered for three consecutive times, the BIOS is locked. You can press Ctrl+Alt+Del to unlock the BIOS.
    2. On the menu bar, choose Server Mgmt, as shown in Figure 9-1.

    3. Select BMC network configuration and press Enter, as shown in Figure 9-2.

    4. Select BMC&NCSI Select and press Enter. On the network port selection screen, select BMC, as shown in in Figure 9-3.

    5. Select IPv4 IP Address and press Enter. On the configuration screen, set the IPv4 address of the iMana 200 management network port, as shown in Figure 9-4.

      Press Enter to save and exit.

    6. On the screen shown in Figure 9-2, set IPv4 Subnet Mask, IPv4 Gateway Address, IPv6 IP Address, IPv6 Prefix Length, and IPv6 Gateway Address for the iMana 200 management network port in the same way.
    7. Press F10 to save settings and exit.
  • Set the IP address on the Haswell BIOS (for an RH5885 V3 with E7 v3 CPUs and DDR3 DIMMs or with E7 v3 CPUs and DDR4 DIMMs).
    1. Restart the server. Upon server startup, press Del to access the BIOS Setup Utility screen.

      Enter a password as prompted.

      NOTE:
      • The default BIOS password is Huawei12#$ for the American keyboard, Huqzei&é34 for the French keyboard, and Huawei12£$ for the English keyboard.
      • The BIOS will be locked after three consecutive password errors. To unlock the BIOS, press Ctrl+Alt+Del.
    2. On the menu bar, choose Server Mgmt, as shown in Figure 9-5.

    3. Select BMC network configuration and press Enter, as shown in Figure 9-6.

    4. Select IPv4 IP Address and press Enter. On the configuration screen, set an IPv4 address for the iMana 200 or iBMC management network port, as shown in Figure 9-7.

      Press Enter to save the setting and exit.

    5. On the screen shown in Figure 9-6, set IPv4 Subnet Mask, IPv4 Gateway Address, IPv6 IP Address, IPv6 Prefix Length, and IPv6 Gateway Address for the iMana 200 management network port in the same way.
    6. Press F10 to save the settings and exit.
  • Set the IP address on the Broadwell BIOS (for an RH5885 V3 with E7 v4 CPUs and DDR4 DIMMs).
    1. Restart the server. Upon server startup, press Del to access the BIOS Setup Utility screen.

      Enter a password as prompted.

      NOTE:
      • The default BIOS password is Huawei12#$ for the American keyboard, Huqzei&é34 for the French keyboard, and Huawei12£$ for the English keyboard.

    4. Select IPv4 IP Address and press Enter. On the configuration screen, set an IPv4 address for the iBMC management network port, as shown in Figure 9-10.

      Press Enter to save the setting and exit.

    5. On the screen shown in Figure 9-9, set IPv4 Subnet Mask, IPv4 Gateway Address, IPv6 IP Address, IPv6 Prefix Length, and IPv6 Gateway Address for the iBMC management network port in the same way.
    6. Press F10 to save the settings and exit.

Querying and Setting the IP Address on the iMana 200 or iBMC WebUI

  • On the iMana 200 WebUI
    1. Log in to the iMana 200 WebUI.
    2. In the navigation tree on the left, choose Configuration > Network and click Management Network Port on the right, as shown in Figure 9-11.

    3. Change the IP address of the management network port.
  • On the iBMC WebUI
    1. Log in to the iBMC WebUI.
    2. In the navigation tree, choose Config > Network Settings, as shown in Figure 9-12.

    3. Change the IP address of the management network port.
