Logging In to the iMana 200 WebUI

Scenarios

Log in to the iMana 200 WebUI by using a browser on the local PC. This section uses a PC running Windows and Internet Explorer 8.0 as an example.

Prerequisites

Conditions

Before using the remote control function, ensure that the OS, browser, and Java Runtime Environment (JRE) of the required versions have been installed on the local PC. Table 3-38 lists the required software versions.

Ensure that the local PC meets the following networking conditions:

  • The local PC is connected to the iMana 200 management network port on the server by using a network cable.
  • The IP addresses of the local PC and the iMana 200 management network port are on the same network segment.

Procedure

  1. Connect the local PC to the iMana 200 management network port on the server by using a crossover cable or twisted pair cable.

    Figure 3-24 shows the network diagram.

  2. Open Internet Explorer on the local PC.
  3. In the address box, enter the iMana 200 address in the format of https://IP address of the iMana 200 management network port on the server (for example, https://192.168.2.100).
  4. Press Enter.

    The iMana 200 login page is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-25.

    NOTE:
    • If the message "There is a problem with this website's security certificate" is displayed, click Continue to this website (not recommended).
    • If the system displays the Security Alert dialog box indicating a certificate error, click Yes.

  5. On the login page, enter the user name and password for logging in to the iMana 200 WebUI.

    NOTE:

    The user account will be locked after five consecutive login failures with wrong passwords. If your user account is locked, log in again 5 minutes later.

  6. Select This iMana from the Log on to drop-down list.

    NOTE:

    Click Reset if you want to clear the User Login page.

  7. Click Log In.

    The Overview page is displayed, showing the user name in the upper right corner.
