Problem Description

Table 5-252 Basic information

Source of the Problem

KunLun 9008

Intended Product

KunLun 9008/9016/9032

Release Date

CMC upgrade failure

The CMC firmware is upgraded from V339 to V471 on the live network. During the upgrade, when the progress reaches 37%, the system displays a message indicating that the upgrade file is invalid. The system displays the same error message in the subsequent upgrade.

Key Process and Cause Analysis

The V339 CMC version is not an official version. During the upgrade of the V339 version, the system may fail to query the upgrade progress. When the progress is not obtained, the system displays a message indicating that the upgrade file is invalid. However the upgrade process is still running in the background.

Conclusion and Solution

Conclusion: The system fails to query the upgrade progress and displays an error message indicating that the upgrade file is invalid.

Solution: Refresh the operation logs in system management periodically. If "update firmware(9032-ManageApp-XXX.hpm) succeed" is displayed, the upgrade is complete. Manually restart the CMC to update the version information and complete the upgrade.
