Logging In to the Web Tools of the MX510

Scenarios

Log in to the Web Tools of the FC switching plane MX510 by using a browser on the local PC to configure and manage this plane.

This section applies to the following switch modules: CX311, CX911, and CX915.

Prerequisites

  • You have installed Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.8 or later.
  • You have obtained:
    • IP address of the server to be connected.
    • User name for logging in to the server to be connected. The default user name is admin.
    • User password for logging in to the server to be connected. The default user password is Huawei12#$.

Procedure

  1. Connect a client (for example, the local PC) to the management network port of the management module by using a network cable.
  2. In the security alert dialog box displayed, select Continue to this website (not recommended).
  3. In the security alert dialog box displayed, select Do not block this program.
  4. Open a browser on the local PC, enter https://IP address of the FC switching plane in the address box, and press Enter.

    The login page is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-28.

  5. Enter the user name and password, and click Add Fabric.
  6. In the dialog box displayed, click Yes.

    The Web Tools home page is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-29.
