Table 10-18 describes default configuration for connection between the CX311 and the fibre channel over Ethernet (FCoE) gateway.
Table 10-18 Default configuration for the CX311 and FCoE gateway connection

Parameter

Default Value

FIP Snooping Bridge (FSB)

The function is enabled by default. The FCoE VLAN is 1002.

Timeout period for exchanging FCoE Initialization Protocol (FIP) packets

5 minutes

ETS

The DRR weight is 50 for both the priority groups PG0 and PG1. Queues 0, 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7 belong to PG0, and queue 3 belongs to PG1.

ACL

  • 10GE ports (*/20/1-*/20/8) connected to the FCoE gateway (MX510): All ports are added to one port isolation group. This ensures that Ethernet packets do not interfere with each other. The broadcast packets, unknown-unicast packets, and multicast packets (except the multicast packets sent from port */20/1 to the MAC address 0110-1801-0002 with the traffic less than or equal to 2 Mbit/s) in the outbound direction on each port are suppressed. The FIP packets and FCoE packets are allowed to be sent from the ports, and the other packets in the outbound direction are suppressed.

  • 10GE ports (*/17/1-*/17/16) on the CX311 panel: The FIP packets and FCoE packets in inbound and outbound directions are suppressed for the panel ports.

  • 40GE ports (*/18/1) for cascading CX311s: The FIP packets and FCoE packets in inbound and outbound directions are suppressed for the ports.

  • GE ports (*/19/1-*/19/2) for cascading MM910s and CX311s: The FIP packets and FCoE packets in inbound and outbound directions are suppressed for the ports.
