IPv6 MCE Overview

IPv6 MCE Overview

A Multi-VPN-Instance CE (MCE) refers to a CE providing multiple VPN instances.

On a BGP/MPLS IP VPN, an MCE uses a static route or a dynamic routing protocol to advertise IPv4 routes between VPN sites and PEs and exchange IPv4 packets.

On a BGP/MPLS IPv6 VPN, an IPv6 MCE advertises IPv6 routes between VPN sites and PEs and exchanges IPv6 packets. IPv6 MCE is similar to MCE. For details, see MCE Overview.
