Configuring the System Resource Mode
You can configure the system resource mode to adjust the allocation of hardware resources.
Context
Services share chip resources. You can properly allocate chip resources to meet different service requirements.
Only the CX110 switch module GE switching plane and CX710 switch module 40GE converged switching plane series switches support the configuration of the system resource mode.
Procedure
- Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
- (Optional) Run:
display system resource
The system resource mode is displayed.
- On the CX110 switch module GE switching plane, Run:
system resource { large-mac | standard | user-defined }
The system resource mode is set.
By default, the standard system resource mode is used. After changing the system resource mode, restart the device for the modification to take effect.
The Transparent Interconnection of Lots of Links (TRILL) function is unavailable if the system resource mode is set to large-mac-table or user-defined.
- On the CX710 switch module 40GE converged switching plane series switches, Run:
system resource { large-route | standard | large-arp }
The system resource mode is set.
By default, the standard system resource mode is used. After changing the system resource mode, restart the device for the modification to take effect.
NOTE:
When the system resource mode is set to large-route, the device does not support URPF.
When the system resource mode is set to large-arp, the device does not support strict URPF. When strict URPF is configured, loose URPF actually takes effect.
