Checking System Accounts

The OceanStor 9000 system involves a long list of accounts. You are advised to periodically check these accounts to eliminate the improper use and leakage of them.

You are advised to check system maintenance accounts and operation accounts of the application system for improper accounts and improper account permissions every quarter. Update the accounts and passwords periodically and delete unnecessary accounts.

  1. Use the KVM to log in to a node as user root.
  2. Check account groups and accounts.

    • Run the following command to query information of account groups: cat /etc/group.
    • Run the following command to query information of accounts: cat /etc/passwd.
