Removing a Target LUN from a LUN Copy

Removing a Target LUN from a LUN Copy

This operation enables you to remove a target LUN from a LUN copy. After that, data will not be copied from the source LUN to the removed LUN.

Prerequisites

  • The Health Status of the LUN copy is Normal and the Running Status of the LUN copy is To be copied, Completed, or Stopped.
  • The LUN copy must have more than one target LUN.
  • The Health Status of the LUN copy is Fault and the Running Status of the LUN copy is not Paused, or Queuing.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Remove Target LUN dialog box.
    1. On the right navigation bar, click .
    2. In the function pane on the left, click LUN Copy.

      The LUN copy management page is displayed.

    3. Select the LUN copy from which you want to remove a target LUN .
    4. Choose More > Remove Target LUN on the menu bar

      The Remove Target LUN dialog box is displayed.

      NOTE:
      You can also go to the Remove Target LUN dialog box by right-clicking the LUN copy and choosing Remove Target LUN.

  2. Remove a target LUN.
    1. In Added Target LUNs, select the target LUN you want to remove and click Right Arrow to move the LUN to To-Be-Removed Target LUNs.
    2. Click OK.

      The security alert dialog box is displayed.

    3. Confirm the information in the dialog box and select I have read the previous information and understood subsequences of the operation.
    4. Click OK.

      The Execution Result dialog box is displayed.

    5. Click Close.
