ALM-0x32000007 Rapid Increase of PHY Bit Errors on the Link Between Expander Controllers (Expander, Major Alarm)

Description

Alarm message:

The PHY bit errors of the link between arg1 (arg2arg3) and arg4 (arg5arg6) increased too fast.

This alarm is generated when data is transmitted on the link between two expander controllers and the detected PHY bit errors increase rapidly.

NOTE:

Expander controllers of different servers are located on different components, such as hard disk backplanes, mainboards, and GPU boards. For details, see the user manual of each server.

  3. Replace the components where the expander controllers are located, and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 4.
