ALM-0x0500000D Failed to Obtain Drive Backplane Detection Point Temperature (Drive Backplane, Minor Alarm)

Description

Alarm message:

Failed to obtain data of the arg1 drive backplane arg2 temperature detection point arg3 arg4 temperature (SN: arg5, BN: arg6).

From iBMC V370, this alarm also includes the serial number and BOM code of the drive backplane.

This alarm is generated when the system failed to obtain the temperature at the detection point of the drive backplane.

Name Meaning

arg1

Location of the drive backplane, for example, Front, Inner, or Rear.

arg2

Number of the drive backplane, for example, 1 or 2.

arg3

Name of the temperature detection point, for example, 1 or 2.

arg4

Location of the temperature detection point, for example, near disk0 or near disk1.

arg5

Drive backplane serial number.

arg6

BOM code.

Impact on the System

The temperature cannot be monitored. No alarm will be reported when the temperature is not in the normal range.

Possible Causes

The sensor chip has failed or the sensor access channel is unavailable.

Procedure

  1. Restart the iBMC. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.

    • If no, go to 2

  2. Remove and reinstall the power cable or board. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.

    • If no, go to 3.

  3. Contact Huawei technical support.
