This alarm is generated when a faulty fan module is detected.

Sensor triggering the alarm:

  • FANN F Presence

  • FANN R Presence

N Serial number of the fan.

Impact on the System

The system heat dissipation is affected, and the performance of the components on the mainboard deteriorates.

Possible Causes

  • The fan module is faulty.

  • The fan backplane is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Remove and reinstall the fan module. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.

    • If no, go to 2.

  2. Replace the fan module. Check whether the alarm is cleared.
