Description

Alarm message (iBMC versions earlier than V308):

The [arg1] PCIe card arg2 (arg3) power failure.

Alarm message (iBMC V308 or later):

The [arg1] PCIe card arg2 (arg3) power failure. [arg4] [arg5]

This alarm is generated when a power failure occurs on the PCIe card.

Name Meaning

arg1

Location of the PCIe card. For example, GpuBoard or Riser.

arg2

Slot number of the PCIe card, for example, 1 or 2.

arg3

Type of the PCIe card, for example, FPGA Chip or Hi1822 Optical Module.

arg4

Supplementary information about the alarm, for example, Error Code.

NOTE:

This parameter is available only for iBMC V308 and later versions.

arg5

Error code of the alarm, for example, (7001).

Possible Causes

The power supply to the PCIe card is abnormal.

Procedure

  1. Power off the server and check whether there is damage or poor contact between the component and its slot.

    • If yes, go to 2.

    • If no, go to 3.

  2. Remove and reinstall the PCIe card. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.

    • If no, go to 3.

  3. Replace the PCIe card. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.

    • If no, go to 4.

  4. Contact Huawei technical support.
