ALM-0x24000009 CPU Board Soft-Start Circuit Overheating (CPU Board, Major Alarm)


Alarm message:

System is forcibly shut down due to high temperature of the soft-start circuit arg1.

This alarm is generated when the soft-start circuit on the CPU board of the server exceeds 105°C. When the soft-start circuit exceeds 105°C, the CPLD protection mechanism is triggered, which forcibly shut down the server OS.

Possible Causes

The overcurrent protection circuit on the CPU board is faulty.


  1. Replace the CPU board. After the server restarts, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.

    • If no, go to 2.

  2. Contact Huawei technical support.
