Displaying the Device Serial Number

Each device has a unique equipment serial number (ESN). When you require technical assistance or need to apply for a license, you need to provide the device's ESN.

# Run the display esn command to view the ESN of a device. The following example shows the display esn command output of a modular switch. The command output varies according to device models.

<HUAWEI> display esn
ESN of master:77000601xxxxxxxx
ESN of slave:77000601xxxxxxxx
  • All models of modular switches support this command.
  • The S2750EI, S5700LI, S5700S-LI, and S5720EI of fixed switches do not support this command.
