HSB Between Two Links Fails
Common Causes
See the preceding sections for the troubleshooting roadmap.
Common causes are as follows:
- User data is not backed up between the active and standby ACs.
- After an active/standby switchover, the AP status remains unchanged.
- After an active/standby switchover, the STA gets offline.
Troubleshooting Flowchart
Troubleshooting Procedure
The AP sets up links with AC1 and AC2 through the Switch. AC1 is the active AC while AC2 is the standby AC.
- Check whether the HSB channel between the two ACs works properly.
Log in to the active AC and check whether the link between the active and standby ACs is normal.
Run the display hsb-service 0 command to check whether the link status is Connected. Possible link status is as follows:
- Connected: The link is normal.
- Disconnected: The link is disconnected. If the link is in Disconnected state, restore the link to the Connected state.

- Check HSB configurations on the active and standby ACs.
Log in to the active and standby ACs respectively and run the display hsb-service 0 command to check the service type configured on the ACs.
To back up AP information, the ACs must be bound to the AP module. To back up STA information, the ACs must be bound to the Access-user module.
