HTTP-based Portal Authentication Process
In this process, pay attention to the following points:
- WLAN services are implemented on APs instead of on ACs.
- Although the Portal server and RADIUS server are the same server in most cases, they are two different NEs logically and functionally.
- If a message is displayed indicating that the certificate is untrusted when a detection packet triggers redirection, replace the certificate of the AC or Portal server. For details, see The Device Login URL Is Displayed, but a Security Alarm Is Displayed.
- If a message is displayed indicating that the certificate does not match the domain name when redirection is triggered by manual or automatic access to an HTTPS website, rectify the fault by referring to HTTPS Web Page Access Fails to Be Redirected (HSTS Protocol).
