Random AP offline
|
Confirm fault information.
|
- Determine whether this fault occurs at, a low probability, high probability, or in a fixed time period.
- Check whether the wired network is normal.
- Check whether the ping operation between the AC's source interface and the AP encounters a ping failure, packet loss, or a long delay.
- Check whether the network has been changed recently, for example, the network structure has been adjusted, configurations have been added on the wired side, or the device has been powered off and restarted.
- Check whether the AP frequently goes online and offline due to its own unexpected restarts. If so, collect necessary information by referring to Unexpected device restart.
|
Collect information.
|
- Run the following commands on the AC.
- Check the reasons why the AP goes online and offline.
display ap offline-record { all | mac-address x-x-x } //Reason why the AP goes offline.
display ap online-fail-record all //Reason why the AP fails to go online.
- Check whether packet loss occurs when the AC's source interface pings the AP.
Ping the IP address of the AP from the CAPWAP source interface: <AC> ping -c 100 -a capwap-source-ip -system-time AP-ip
- Check other information.
display health, display cpu-defend statistics wired, display logbuffer, display trapbuffer, and display ap port all (The commands must be executed twice or more.)
- Run the following commands on the AP.
- Check AP system information.
display system-information
- Check AP diagnostic logs and CAPWAP link information (diagnostic view).
display diag-logfile buffer, display capwap link all, and display arp history
- Check general gateway information. (When a Huawei device functions as a gateway, the method of querying the MAC address table and ARP table is the same as that used on the AC.)
display health //Device health status, including the CPU and memory usage
display mac-address flapping record //MAC address flapping records
display arp ip-conflict track //ARP conflict records
display stp brief / display stp tc-bpdu statistics //STP status information
display logbuffer //Device log information
display trapbuffer //Device alarm information

Dual-node scenario (configuration synchronization)
|
Confirm fault information.
|
- Check whether configurations are synchronized through the HSB channel.
- Check whether configurations are synchronized from the master AC to the backup AC.
- Check whether models and versions of the master and backup devices are the same. (This requirement does not apply to versions later than V200R019C00.)
- Check whether the backup configurations are correct.
NOTE: Only public configurations are synchronized. Private configurations are not synchronized.
Manually synchronize configurations on the master AC. If public configurations on the master AC are inconsistent with those on the backup AC, the backup AC restarts.
|
Collect information.
|
- Check basic device information.
display version, display patch-information, display capwap config, display current-configuration interface vlanif X, display ip interface brief, display arp track, and display arp ip-conflict track
- Check the configuration synchronization status.
display sync-configuration { status | master-redundancy }
- Check the reachability between source interfaces.
- display arp | include
- Enable IP addresses of the primary and secondary source interfaces to ping each other.
- Check diagnostic information about the master and backup ACs.
