How Do I Locate a VAP Creation Failure?
Procedure:
V200R005 and earlier versions:
- Check whether the AP exists.
- Check whether the number of VAPs of the AP has reached the upper limit.
- Check whether a radio profile is bound the radio interface.
- Check whether the service set is configured correctly and bound to the radio interface.
- Check whether the configuration is committed.
- Check whether the AP works properly and whether the configuration is delivered successfully.
V200R006 and later versions:
- Check whether the AP exists.
- Check whether the number of VAPs of the AP has reached the upper limit.
- Check whether a radio profile is bound the radio interface.
- Check whether the VAP profile is configured correctly and bound to an AP or an AP group.
- Check whether the AP works properly and whether the configuration is delivered successfully.
- Check the possible causes for the VAP creation failure by using the display vap create-fail-record command (in V200R007 and later versions).
