This topic describes the ventilation of the N66E-18 cabinet.

The N66E-18 cabinet has a fan tray at the top of the service subrack to exhaust hot air for heat dissipation.


The following uses the MA5600T ETSI service subrack configured in the N66E-18 cabinet as an example to describe the ventilation principles. When the MA5603T service subrack is configured in the N66E-18 cabinet, the air enters the cabinet from the left side and is exhausted from the right side.

The ventilation of the N66E-18 cabinet is as follows: Cool air enters the cabinet through the cable space at the bottom of the service subrack. The air is exhausted by the fans upward through the service subracks. The air exits from the top of the cabinet, as shown in Figure 1-46.
